Brrr...

chilly, windy day. temp was about 38-40. finished the rock project under the deck, thank goodness. spent most of the late morning and early afternoon on the fence for the garden. learned how to dig post holes. i made the comment that i thought an area around the garden fence with some wood chips and flowers would look great and the boss agreed. i imagine that will be my next large project as all the spruce trees are planted. 80 of them i dug up and replanted. spent some time with miriam at her place. so comfortable. and i really like the environment change from here at the lodge. always nice to get away for a little bit. i am giving nat the morning off tomorrow by making breakfast for the crew. i made a coffee cake tonight, and will make scrambled eggs and a fruit platter in the morning. it would be great if she could do my morning work for me - like a switch, but that won't be happening. today though, she made banana bread and called me in from the cold and gave me a thick, warm slice and even offered to make me some hot chocolate. thought that was a really nice gesture. in all, a pretty busy day that just ended. a late night to be getting up at 5am.
