4-wheeler
by 7:30 this morning, louie and i were out driving the village looking for the 4-wheeler that had been stolen during the night. this happens every yr i guess. so for 2 hrs we drove up and down looking for the thing. no luck. then we saw rob and bill driving around and they stopped us to say that the 4-wheeler was already back at the lodge. apparently it was 200 yards from a place we had looked along the beach, but we had turned around too soon. we were told we would never be doing anymore recon work for aniak air guides. too bad, cuz it was a nice way to kill 2 hrs of work.. talking and laughing and searching for the same style 4-wheeler that more than 1/2 the village owns. at least it was found - key missing beside a boat. after this we did some more work under the house rearranging wood, cleaning up the shop, getting gear ready for a group of 6 that arrive tomorrow afternoon, burning scrap wood, & trying to figure out the propane stove situation. calm morning, and it started raining about 10 and hasn't stopped. about 47 today and gloomy, we had a fire all day - smells great. the weather is supposed to be like this the rest of the week. the couple from kentucky that have been on a float came back today safe and sound and ready to head home in the morning. actually took a nap this afternoon as i haven't been feeling the best today...3 of us have had headaches and tummy trouble this afternoon. makes for a lethargic group. especially with the weather.

YOur propane stove has a leak on one of the seals I bet. Will make you all sick----------and permanently unless you find it. Try a squirt bottle with really soapy water on and spray on all the fittings to see if it bubbles and if so, you have a leak. could be in the connections or the hose or the pilot if you have one. Best ckeck it out soon! Want you to come back without brain damage or in a pine box. Love ya Joan
