i assume all of you have heard about the mccains pick for vp...i think it's really interesting that the gov of alaska is running for office. most of the rd system doesn't hear about her, or alaska politics for that matter. but since may, i've seen sarah palin on tv quite often. (rob claims she is his long lost love)..even though i'm not into politics, i certainly have become a bit more interested in the last 3 months. this is a subject that is talked about almost daily. just thought it ironic that the one state i've been living in for a temp time is the one state that picks a woman to run for a republican vp. who'd have thunk!!!
an extremely busy day for all of us. marie and i looked at the clock and it was already 3:30pm...don't know where the day goes. spent most of the morning looking and posting the job position. ran errands, cleaned bunkhouses, helped with the FSA order, answered emails, got gear ready for the guy that arrives tomorrow and somehow managed to bake 5 dozen cookies that are all GONE!!! good heavens how these guys eat. i mean they literally were lingering around the living room and deck waiting for more cookies to come out of the oven. it's really a riot! marie and i just can't get over how much food and drink we go through in a wk. we did some figuring today just to see how much and here are a couple of examples of the amt of food consumed in a wk... we currently have 9 guests and 4 staff (although i don't eat much of it)... 2 lbs of coffee, 14 quarts of OJ, 4 lbs of sliced roast beef, 4 lbs of sliced turkey, 3-4 gal milk, 6 loaves of bread (and this doesn't include if french toast is made), 63 candy bars, and if she makes eggs in the morning 2 dozen - for 1 meal. crazy, crazy!!!

Was the fish you caught as big as the bluegill you used to catch with grandpa? Did you use crickets or grasshoppers for bait?
