nac

nac = northern air cargo. this is a big plane that delivers all the food for the ac store (alaska commercial), and most things ordered from the road system are often delivered by nac. we have been waiting on an order here for hoses, a wheel-barrow, and wood for more than a wk. what happens is that if they don't have enough weight, they just won't deliver. so also for more than a wk, the store has been out of all produce. today nac arrived. everyone waits to hear the sound of the plane and when we do/the town does, it's off to see what goodies were brought in. so off nat and i went to the store and upon arrival, so was the entire town. omg. it was crazy. we pulled up and there were at least 8 cars and i don't know how many 4-wheelers. doesn't sound like many people, but they come in groups all fighting for the best looking produce. and the store is only 5 or 6 isles big. nat and i made our way and stood directly in front of the very small produce section and loaded up. they actually had spinach and red peppers this time. i was ecstatic. also loaded up on bananas, red grapes and tomatoes. now i have to make it last awhile. today i dug up trees and replanted. that was my main job since i have so many to do. took a nap this afternoon which i haven't done since arriving. it made a huge difference and something i really should do more often. really nice weather today altho it was a bit windy. still nice not to have to wear a hat and coat all day. all the crew here keeps telling me to get a massage table up here. i'm told i can charge anywhere from $75-$100 per hr and they would gladly pay it. huh. seriously thinking about it. think maybe the fisherman/float trip people might enjoy that perk as well, and i would enjoy the money for sure! we'll see.
