Quick Ride

a pretty good day. this morning i got to ride in a helicopter for about 10 min. really smooth - a good time. this was my 1st experience in one as well. after my daily yard chores i went to the airport to dig up some trees and replanted them here. anxious to see how they do after transplanting. went with the boss to pick up some lunber and a weed-eater. didn't have to help load the lumber, but did help unload the heaviest sheets of plywood i've ever had to carry. oh my gosh...seriously, my arms gave out on the 6th piece and i dropped my end. whoops. but only 8 total. man. my forearms burned for an hr. i hate being a wuss....but i did it and hopefully will get stronger from the work. i made chocolate chip zucchini cake today and it's half gone already - you don't realize how much food it takes to feed 14 people. it got sunny and cleared up this afternoon and got up to 65. it was great. we gals sat on the deck for awhile and chatted. for supper we had the famous aniak hound house pizza. that's 8 pizzas - for a grand total of $229. ouch!!! we all ate outside, a nice change. the barrick crew had a badmitten/volleyball net brought in so a bunch played volleyball after dinner, then we had a bonfire and smores. a very nice way to end the day. hope it's nice tomorrow because there is a lot to be done outside!
