another chilly, windy day. did paperwork this morning, then worked outside this afternoon. i stacked a log pile all by myself...did pretty good i believe. i learned how to split wood..still need a lot of practice doing that. something i will work on. dragged more cut trees, picked up limbs from all the wind damage. rob cut some konks for me to dry out...they are white and grow on stumps. they are really hard and he says people paint on them...i don't really know that much about them, but they are pretty. they look like seashells. i finally got a nickname. everyone here has had a nickname except me, so from now on i'll just be called robinson. they tried lizard, but i quickly vetoed that. it was like elementary school all over again. i asked why they just can't call me elizabeth, but apparently they don't think it rolls off the tongue too easily, and robinson does. so ok. finished working outside already for the day..and just in time because as soon as we walked in the door, it started raining. ready for some sun. i will be in charge of mowing, and it looks like that will start this wk and continue the rest of the time. i'm told the grass grows so fast i'll be mowing twice a wk. tonight we are having moose fajitas and watermelon. mmm good.
