The Weekend

not that i have a weekend...or a day off for memorial day, but it's not forever. another windy chilly day. didn't work outside again because everything i need to do i can't because of the wind. did more paperwork, had a group meeting this morning and made a trip to town. this afternoon i got my first massage from miriam (not marian). what a cute little place she and her husband have. it's a small log cabin down the rd a bit. really quaint, cozy place. they are both from spain which i find interesting that they are here. her husband travels around to remote places to start water councils or something like that. they are here for 3 yrs and have been here for 1 of those. miriam is a stay-at-home mom, teaches yoga and gives a few massages on the side. exactly what i would love to do!! they have a little boy - beautiful. the cabin is decorated with all these cool paintings from peru, beadery work, candles, chimes...really really neat place. it smelled great too!! she had a fire going in the wood stove, and she must have been cooking some kind of meat all day, plus the candles and massage smells...the most relaxing smell and massage environment i could imagine. and of course the massage was fabulous. really nice couple and i feel lucky to have met them. so, not a bad afternoon at all. came back and nat made shrimp, clam chowder, salad, cookies and watermelon...yum!!! i do notice that working inside the last 2 days, makes me appreciate the work i do outside...would much rather be outside than in!
