donlin

a chilly day up until not too long ago, now the sun is out and 50...but the day was misty, 45 and windy. i wish we could change our working hrs to start around 4pm. this seems to be when the weather gets super. had a grp of 2 from atlanta come in for a float...weirdos they were. glad they didn't overnight. at breakfast this morning we were all excited about not having any clients tonight and then at 7:30am, the phone rang and it was the donlin heli pilot saying they would be arriving this afternoon (large groan from all). the donlin group has had 3 rooms reserved for quite awhile and up until aug 13. we hadn't heard anything from them so we all assumed they wouldn't be showing. well, we now have a group of 7 here. the good news is they are only here until the 4th or 5th. we did our best to hide our giddiness when they told us they wouldn't be here very long...not sure how well we all did. they are a younger group again, and we won't really have the time to get to know them as well as we did barrick, but that's alright, we look forward to a break before the newmont crew shows on aug 14 - that is another group of 10 and they are here until sept 8! will be busy, busy, especially with hunters coming in at the same time. we will have a lodge full for some time. awww...sweet sleep i miss you!
