this morning was spent getting gear ready for alaska fish and game who is arriving monday. there are 3 groups coming in and all 3 will be on different rivers. rob took 1/2 the gear to his camp to make the flights a bit easier on monday. also got gear ready for our first caribou hunters that arrive in the morning. the season started today...a bit early i think to start hunting, but whatever. this afternoon i sprayed for 3 hrs and louie and i got some little jobs done. we also got our FSA order in so we all helped nat with that. always fun to get that. today was andrews last day. will miss that little dude. this evening was spent drinking a few beers with the donlin crew and 2 geologists from new zealand that are b&b. the donlin crew i found out are biologists counting fish for barrick. barrick and donlin are the same thing. nice getting to know everyone, as they all are friendly and laid-back. too bad they are leaving so soon. but so nice to share a few alaskan beers. alaskan pale/golden ale. super tasting and also left for us by one of the groups on the river a texas beer shiner rock (i think). also great! not a bad day and no rain again! can't believe it's august. time flys when you work 24-7!! :-)
