middle of the night walk

what a gross day. it wasn't 50 even, windy, rainy, gloomy, cold. we have a fire going - feels like fall. never thought i'd be in a place in the middle of july where i have 2 pr of socks on with my rubber boots, a stocking hat, long sleeve shirt, hoody, and a raincoat and still be damp and chilly. just can't seem to warm up. last night ty, louie and i spent some time listening to music, playing on the internet, then heading outside to smoke a tasty cigar and take a walk to the river. it was a nice evening - no wind. got to know these dudes a bit more...a couple of genuine, good eggs. didn't get to bed until 3 am. then at 6am, nat knocked on my door and asked me if i could make breakfast b/c she wasn't feeling well. ok...of course. so, on goes the day. had a group of 4 come in for a float. busy day getting them ready to go. 2 of them are still here. the day has gone by pretty slow although that's my own fault. really didn't feel too bad today, however i will sleep like a log tonight.
