Intuition

the thought entered my mind as i started off this morning that i should grab my camera, but i brushed it off and kept walking. then about 1/2 mile down the rd, i heard a snort and looked in the opposite direction that i was looking...and there was a female moose!! and of course, then i thought to myself...i knew i should have brought my camera. so...intuition! listen to it!!! anyway, the moose was awesome. she was 30 yards in front of me crossing the rd. we just stared at each other for what seemed like forever. then, she slowly walked away eating. she would stop and turn every few steps and watch me. then she pooped! which doesn't seem like much, but when an animal feels scared, they won't poop...so she must have felt comfortable. it was a very rewarding walk! regarding chores today i got all the dirt in cups and pots for the seeds, and got some seeds planted. rob took me flying this afternoon. it was so cool. the first time he took me up in the plane he only flew around the town. this time tho, he flew for about and hr and half. i took some pretty neat pics from the plane. you just can't even begin to imagine what it looked like from up there. i saw quite a few moose, and one with her baby. he would fly low to the ground, you could see everything from small logs to the swans swimming in the slow parts of the rivers. we followed the aniak river south and then hopped over the mountains...which are still very snowy. then we followed the kipchuk river back. i could see where the salmon river met the kipchuk..the water is different colors. there were parts that were very murky and parts so turquoise i've never seen anything that color. i wish i could describe the view better. spruce trees for acres and acres..they were never-ending. then it would flatten out and look swampy, then the mountains covered in snow. there were so many bear tracks in the snow..rob would follow a set for miles and you could see where they would stop for a drink in the river. it was unbelievable. so pretty. i can't wait to see what it all looks like when it's greened up. and to see aniak from that viewpoint really puts how isolated this place is from anything. this small little village on the river. and the really cool part about the entire flight was there wasn't a house or car the entire time. not one. just miles and miles of beauty. exactly the alaska you see on t.v. it was breathtaking. nothing like a nice sunday (flight)!!
