Surprises!

i had a couple of nice surprises today. the first was this morning. taylor - the handyman around here and i were loading 10 ft 2x6's into the truck (had to load and unload 5 truckloads of these, man...what a chore) and there down the rd about 50 yrds or so was another moose!! but this one was a male and he was big. and again i didn't have my camera because i was working. and i wish i would have because the next moment, in flew a bald eagle...no lie, and landed on the top of a spruce tree right next to that moose. it was so cool. just like you would see in a movie. so there we stood and watched this big moose and a bald eagle together with mountains in the background. made the rest of the workload not seem so heavy! then, to my much amazement, there is a woman named marian (how fitting) that teaches yoga every monday and thursday (for free) at the high school which is about 1/4 mile down the rd from here. so...i went tonight and will go every wk while i'm here. the really neat part about marian is that she is also a massage therapist! go figure. who would have ever thought that in aniak, alaska i would find yoga and a massage therapist who is willing to do trades with me! plus, she and her husband have a greenhouse and is the perfect person to ask for any tips about gardening here. so, a few good finds today. i also finished planting the seeds in the cups and got the top layer of garden taken care of this afternoon before it started raining. pretty good day i think. and i'm whipped!!
