Jumping Rope

when is the last time you jumped rope? i did it this morning before my walk...wow. it really makes me appreciate when i was a kid and could do it forever without stopping. a good way to start the morning. it rained most of the day today, and was about 45-50. hailed again this afternoon while rob and i were tossing and stacking logs. i got soaked because i wasn't dressed for it, and rob wouldn't let me come in and get my hat...or at least that's what i told everyone! ;-) i started calling my boss william today..i think it's his middle name. he hates it. also hates it when i call him boss. really he should figure out that by him telling me that is only encouraging me to say it more. today i spent most of the day staining the bunkhouse. think i'll have it whipped out pretty quick. the crew from barrick gold came in today. there are 7 of them and a pilot. all are my age and an educated bunch. 4 guys, 3 gals and the pilot dale. all seem pretty nice. going to be a long few weeks while they are here...having 8 extra people in and out, eating, all that jazz. will be interesting. poor nat having to cook 2 meals a day for that many people. but..been there, done that! it's tough. i asked her if she'd rather be outside tossing logs - like we could trade once in a while..not interested. oh well. can't believe i've been here a wk...seems much longer.
