Nothing Special

today was nothing super special. this am i learned how to stack a wood pile. i carried logs, burned a pile of logs, raked sawdust/woodchips. this all took most of the morning. i'm pretty sore today. it tough to climb my ladder to my room, and i noticed my forearms will be much stronger from having to pull myself up by the ropes to my room. what an experience...using 2 ropes in the wall to climb up to my room..too funny. today was a chilly one, and it was windy, and sunny for most of the morning. it only got to about 45 today, and then clouded up and with the wind..chilly. this afternoon i ordered seeds for the garden..should be a nice one. also ordered 100 spruce plugs which i will plant. kind of a lull day..everyone was tired and the clouds get pretty gloomy. my boss asked me if i would be interested in a wk long float trip in july with nat, and a couple of other people...would be cool. also told me if i wanted to hunt caribou in Sept that he would buy the tag if he could keep most of the meat. tomorrow i'm supposed to practice shooting at the shooting range..whats left of it. the govt had one built and the natives totally tore it all up, as they did the basketball court. had caribou spaghetti this evening..really tastes like venison..very lean and pretty good flavor. we have a group of 10 scientists or whatever they are coming thurs for 40 days. should change around here alot, esp at meals..at least i don't have to cook! ha

Remember "Deliverance"..
Well ToTo, you're in Alaska, not Georgia or Kansas.
The float trip sounds fun provided the raft can float. Who does the P.M. on those? The same guy that fixes the trucks? Hmmmmm....
Scientist from where? Climate or Societal Structures in the arm pit of our northern-most state?
