a steadily busy day that started at 7am. most mornings seem to start early now-a-days. rob and louie worked on the plane all morning so it was just nat and i again. took all morning to clean gear and help nat clean the rooms from the overnight guests. this afternoon louie and i got gear ready for the clients that were supposed to arrive tomorrow at 11am. supposed to arrive tomorrow at 11am...i called the airline this morning to double check on the time and yes...however this afternoon at 3:30pm we got a call from the airport from the group of 4 saying they were waiting to be picked up. (?) so as we all stood around with our fingers up our nose...still no clue now as to what the hell happened. all of our paperwork, the airline info states tomorrow as an arrival. normally if it was a b&b thing, not as big as deal, however, this isn't. it's a float trip with runs one at a time...and we have a schedule we follow daily. all 3 calenders are looked at several times a day by each of us...so thankgoodness we had gear ready and the 2 new zealand geologists are being picked up by the helio from inland, it works out ok.
a nice surprise today was that i was given a nice cigar from the sewer manager...a montecristo havana limited edition....this is my 3rd cigar this summer from clients. just last night i was given a punch imported cigar... i consider that a decent tip!
