Fall

apparently fall has arrived in aniak, and it's only august. the leaves have started turning yellow and every day there are more leaves on the ground. last night it got down to 29..brrr. it's so calm and pretty in the morning though. at this rate i'll have to wear long johns in the morning to work. was a beautiful sunny, warm day. if this is fall weather, i'll take it. just gorgeous. this morning after cleaning i spent quite some time on the phone and answering work emails. i don't dig being inside on the computer and phone like this...waiting for amanda (the other new girl that starts next month) to get here so i can go back outside all the time. this afternoon and evening i sprayed round-up. marie made halibut, wild rice, veggies and homemade bread. it was so good. haven't smelled homemade bread for a long time. she made 4 loaves and there is only 1 left. not too exciting of a day, but not a bad one either. can't believe how fast the days go.
